WELCOME

Welcome to the Avery School of Motoring, a single instructor driving school run by myself, Nigel Avery.

My driving school is based in Sandwich near Canterbury in East Kent. I have been a qualified driving instructor since 1996 (currently Grade A) and hold a motorcycle (A Licence) and Class 2 HGV (C Licence). I now specialise in coaching people to tow and drive leisure vehicles including trailers, caravans, and motorhomes. In addition, I am also qualified to train customers who wish to obtain their minibus (D1) and minibus with large trailer (D1+E), having access to a private DVSA test centre in Sandwich, Kent.

My passion for caravanning began in 1975 (with my parents) and then owning my first caravan in 1989. I now offer caravan training and motorhome training for customers who do not need to pass a test but believe they would benefit from some professional training before driving these larger vehicle combinations. I have worked for both The Camping and Caravanning Club and Caravan and Motorhome Club, delivering their caravan and motorhome courses. As well as my standard courses I can offer bespoke courses to meet customers specific requirements
